Horizons with Business For Breakfast |

Joe &
Mandy Duncan have been Business for Breakfast Franchisees since March 2004.
After achieving great success with their first franchise in Bolton & Bury,
the couple went on to expand into Manchester and other parts of Lancashire. We
spoke to Joe to find out more
What
did you both do before taking on a Franchise? "I had my own technology
company and my wife Mandy worked for Asda."
What
is your customer base? "We currently have over 200 members.."
How
is it all going? "Business for Breakfast has been good to me and my
family. I believe if I work hard for the next 5 years then Business For
Breakfast will look after me for many years to come..." |
|
Why
did you decide to go into Franchising together? "I've actually known John for around 20 years and was
convinced the Business for Breakfast concept was a good idea. I know how
valuable a referral is in business so having a system where these are available
is worth a small fortune to the recipient. Being in a position to facilitate
these meetings get the system running then watch it grow really appealed to
me."
What
is your typical day like? "I leave the house just after 6am and head for
the BforB venue that day. I either run the meeting or help the executive team
to do so. Then after the meeting I sign new members up and have a couple of one
to one meetings with potential members. I then return home to the office and
sort through emails and so the necessary administration. I usually finish up
around 5pm, but some days are longer."
What
advice would you give to a couple looking to invest in a Business for Breakfast
Franchise? "Don't get too tied up in the ifs and whens
if you can
see the upside just go for it put in the effort and see the results for
yourself. Treat this like a new job and you want to do well, look to run good
exciting meetings the money will take care of itself |
